Buying New Windows Part Four - Material Choices

In this installment of our “Buying New Windows Series” we take a look at the variety of materials used to build windows. There are many questions to consider including, a) How do you choose from among all the available options?; b) What are the pros and cons of each material?; and c) How do they range in price?
In short, there are vinyl, fiberglass, vinyl clad and aluminum clad options available; in very general terms, vinyl windows are the least expensive while aluminum clad is the most expensive. We will review all these differences in an effort to make it easier to make the right choice for your window project.
