Scott Sanders, Gaylord
A Gaylord native growing up in a building family, Scott Sanders states, “I was born and raised in Gaylord, which certainly has helped me to know the people and the market.” Scott describes his responsibilities at Preston Feather Building Centers as taking care of all our Customers and doing whatever it takes to reach the company goals.
With his building background, Scott has built homes from Carmel, California to Meadows, Idaho and all over the state of Michigan. Preston Feather Building Centers would supply him with building products. What he likes best about Preston Feather is being privately owned and soon to be employee owned. Scott enjoys helping people, meeting new and interesting people and his fellow employees.
Scott prides himself with his attendance record, never missing a day of school. After graduating from Gaylord High School, he attended Western Michigan and Ferris State Universities. He can usually be found at work; however he does enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Don Anderson, Gaylord
Don Anderson is one of the newest additions to the Gaylord sales team, although he is not new to the lumber business. Don helps supply building materials to contractors and helps customers with their project from estimating to finish trim all while treating people the way he likes to be treated.
“Every customer is unique, says Don, “That’s why I treat them that way.”
When Don joined Preston Feather in the spring of 2008, he had been in the lumber business for over 13 years. He is quite detail oriented, spending 18 years as a close-tolerance machinist. Don enjoys the great work environment at Preston Feather and he likes being able to work with long-term customers and vendors while building relationships along the way.
Don and his wife were high school sweethearts and will have been married 30 years this year. They have a son in the Air Force soon to be stationed in Italy. Don stays busy in his down time with a variety of outdoor activities and volunteer work. Through “Pals with Paws” he takes certified therapy dogs to assisted living centers to visit the elderly.

Katherine Spreeman has been with Preston Feather Building Centers since 2004, joining us with many years experience designing homes and buildings. She describes her responsibilities as problem solver, drawing plans with architectural and structural detail to meet the customer’s needs and wants. Katherine greatly enjoys meeting various people and having the independence to design their home. “Customers are my priority - without them I wouldn’t be here,” she says, “the professionalism and respect every customer receives is a great aspect of working at Preston Feather.”
Katherine received a B.S. degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI, and holds certification as a Wood Foundation Designer. Building design has been her career for over 15 years.
When not creating great spaces for her clients, Katherine can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys the great out doors when the weather is right, and scrap booking when the weather is not.

Kyle Sircely, Gaylord
Kyle has been with Preston Feather Building Centers since July of 2000, first as a delivery driver. That experience has helped him tremendously as a Building Materials Specialist.
Although some days he’d rather be on the golf course, he enjoys his job because of the friendly customers and exciting projects they’re building. Prior to Preston Feather Kyle had earned a degree in turf management and was a golf course superintendent.
He has volunteered his time over the years to Unicef, nursing homes, soup kitchens and newspaper drives. Kyle and his wife will become parents for the first time later this fall, curtailing his volunteering for a time. In addition to golf, Kyle enjoys biking and hiking in this gorgeous area were we live.

John Hart, Gaylord
John has been with Preston Feather Building Centers since spring of 1997, stating “ I’ve been in this business since I was five years old.”
His focus is Contractor sales; working with contractors and home owners to make their building projects go smoothly. Having worked for several other lumber companies during his career, what he likes best about Preston Feather is, “Our customer service.” He also enjoys meeting people and visiting job sites. “There are some extraordinary projects being built in Northern Michigan!”
When he’s not helping with building projects, John has found time to volunteer with the Fire Department, 4-H as a leader, the North Central Home Builder’s Association, the County Board of Appeals, and as a football coach. John was recently named Home Builder Associate of the Year for his volunteer efforts.

Stefan Blanzy, Gaylord
Stefan can be found nearly every day at the counter in Gaylord doing whatever is necessary to ensure our Customers are taken care of. In addition to selling building materials, he helps keep our inventory of tools and hardware ready for purchase. He enjoys interacting with everyone who walks in the door. With plenty of experience as a carpenter, Stefan quickly understands building challenges and helps get the right product for the project.
He lives in Gaylord spending as much time as possible outdoors with his family.

Jodi Burger, Gaylord
Jodi describes her role at Preston Feather Building Centers as sales and customer service. She has been with the company since 2001, but has been part of the industry since she was in high school.
“I try to treat every customer the way I would want to be treated I were the customer,” remarks Jodi, “There’s a great amount of pride I have to be part of this company.”
Jodi works with many professional builders, and their customers, to select the right building materials for their projects. She loves coming to work everyday to see her customers and co-workers.
She grew up and attended school in Gaylord, and is part of a very large family. “Our last family reunion was around 400 people and there were about 200 people missing, which is good because my husband’s family is very small.”
Although she’d rather be living in Hawaii, Jodi enjoys just about anything outside in beautiful Northern Michigan including snowboarding, boating, golfing and camping.
