Bonnie Hill

Because Bonnie hand-draws her design projects, her nieces believes she has a great job coloring all day. She describes her job as, “I am a space planner making sure your kitchen really cooks!”

She is inspired by the families she works with. “As I get to know them, they have all the answers. I just need to ask all the right questions and give their ideas life.” Bonnie believes the design process should be a fun, exciting experience. She loves the creative side of her projects, the challenges that fit special needs for people. It is the people that make a project interesting.

In her earlier years, Bonnie was an elementary art teacher. “I loved it! I love children’s perspective on things; so honest and uncluttered.” She has adopted that as her design philosophy too.

Bonnie has a teaching degree from Central Michigan University and a design degree from the University of Michigan. You can find her in the kitchen during her free time where she really does enjoy cooking and canning. She also enjoys stained glass, designing many custom pieces for her clients’ kitchen projects.
