We're Making Progress in Petoskey

Work Continues on the Petoskey Yard Improvement Project

Demolition began as scheduled on March 31, and by the end of April, footings for the new buildings have been poured. We apologize once again for the disruption, however we know you will find our new layout and lumber storage to be a vast improvement in accessibility and efficiency.

Early April: Buildings Coming Down

The former cedar shed occupied the center of the Petoskey yard.

The building known as #2 on the south side of the Petoskey yard.

The former loading dock and warehouse at the rear of the lumber showroom is removed. This section will be replaced with a two-story addition.

Mid-April: Concrete Removal and Excavating

Mike Bischoff, Marshal Bliemeister and Jason Peters; two of them have been with us since ACE was the Preston Feather place.

The loading dock is believed to have been installed by Preston Feather, a former concrete contractor. It was a challenge to remove.

We've acquired additional property to expand the yard. It requires digging into the hillside and installing a retaining wall.

Late April: Footings Poured for New Retaining Wall & Buildings

Checking the new property lines.

Setting forms and rebar for footings.

Cement is poured.
